Aakar joined Adobe Associates’ Civil Engineering department in 2017. He previously worked in Nepal as a Civil Engineer, where he did grading and drainage design for public and private roads. He was also involved in survey and rehabilitation work on the Mt. Manaslu backpacking circuit.
Aakar started at Adobe as a Design Engineer, where he worked closely with Project Managers on drafting, reports, and calculations for a variety of projects. He is a hard worker and dedicated to honing his engineering skills, which has led to promotions to Project Engineer and then to Project Manager. In his current role, he works closely with clients, consultants, and agencies on a variety of projects, and he also directs Design Engineers on drafting work.
Aakar is a team player and enjoys working with others to achieve common goals. He is also a great communicator and can clearly explain complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders. He says, “There is always something new to learn in engineering, and the diversity of projects makes it fun. The feeling of seeing something you’ve designed come to life never gets old.”
Aakar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Lamar University, Texas. He is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He obtained his California Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and is currently gaining firsthand experience while preparing to obtain his Professional Engineer (PE) license.
